I had such a pleasant experience at Performance from start to finish. The entire process was easygoing, smooth, and completely stress-free. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful, which made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the experience. They took the time to answer my questions, never made me feel pressured, and made everything simple and straightforward. I truly appreciated the excellent customer service and would highly recommend Performance to anyone looking for an hassle-free experience.

We traveled over two hours today to purchase our new car from this family-owned business, and the experience was absolutely worth it. The team was honest, professional, and genuinely great to work with. They even helped entertain our son while doing paperwork. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for a vehicle!

Overall, my experience was good because I knew exactly what I was looking for, and was straightforward with the owners. I got what was right for me and my family through intended communication and planning at a really good price. I would thoroughly check out the cars and speak openly with them about any flaws or potential downsides if you are buying a car As-is. I would not beat around the bush with them, this is my only honest critique. I bought a 2008 Toyota Prius with 270k miles for $1600 with $70 in assorted fees (MO resident buying As-is). They waived the debit fee for me, and maybe another $15-30 charge. The A/C didn't work on the car, but I fixed it for $20 (the previous owner ran something over and knocked a pipe off the AC pump). It gets excellent mileage, and had no major damage to the drive line or underbody other than the bumper which was connected to the previously stated damage. The car was really dirty (apparently traded in the night before), and in fairly rough exterior shape. But overall, representative of the price. I got a running and driving car that is safe on the road and passed the Missouri State inspection. I looked at a few photos online of the car, and called and ended up dealing and talking with Kirk. He told me the vehicle had a few interested buyers and would likely be gone soon, and they don't hold anything for anyone. But, he was still willing to answer my questions, and was honest about the major downsides, but didn't give much about the history of the car and ownership. So, I took a gamble of personal time and went out to check out the car. Upon request, he pulled up the Carfax. We had a long test drive, and he answered all of my questions, and surprisingly, we had a good conversation about personal life and outreach outside of work. I paid full in cash so I can't speak of financing. Apparently, it's a family business, and Kirk's brother runs the books and such. He is a bit more serious. He didn't like my attitude because I was nervous and made a comment in essence that was "Hey, I know this car is as-is, but if you knowingly sold me a junk car that will be troublesome, you'll reap what you sow." This was after long deliberation and talk about Christ and the position I was in buying the car with Kirk, so I didn't think it would be poorly received. I really needed a good valuable car that would serve my family's needs. And, ultimately, I got that. The car has been wonderful for me for the last two and a half months and 4000 miles. This is a bit more personal, but I think it will continue to be so - as a family, with Kirk we prayed in Jesus' name, and with good care, thoughts and intended prayer, it has been what we asked for.

IF I COULD LEAVE ZERO STARS I WOULD!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!! I’m all about supporting small businesses — but not crooked ones. Two days ago, I inquired about a 2017 Dodge Charger Scat Pack I saw on Facebook Marketplace. I was working directly with “Aaron.” I disclosed upfront that I had a trade-in: a 2022 Honda Accord Sport with 59k miles. I sent him a detailed 2-minute walkaround video showing every square inch of the car — each wheel (all four have curb rash), a visible scuff on the rear bumper (which I intentionally slowed down to highlight), along with the VIN and odometer. Full transparency. Based on that, Aaron gave me a $20,000 trade value (I have proof). I was expecting $21k–$22k, but knowing the cosmetic issues, I agreed to $20k without hesitation. I owe $12,406 on the Accord, so I have clear positive equity. I submitted a credit application and called about an hour later. Aaron told me I was approved with $0 down. We reviewed payment, interest rate, and loan term — everything sounded good. He told me to call before driving up from Fort Smith to Bentonville (about 1 hour and 12 minutes). He assured me everything would be ready and I’d be in and out in 30 minutes. He specifically told me all I needed was my license. When I arrived, I test drove the Charger while they evaluated my Accord — standard process. When I returned, Aaron suddenly claimed my trade had issues: 1. “Squishy brakes and warped rotors” (possibly valid). 2. Front tires “rounded” and making a “womp womp” sound (completely false — the tires are 4 months old). 3. Rear bumper damage (which was clearly disclosed in my video before he valued it). Then the story changed. Aaron told me “the bank” was now requiring $1,200 down because of reconditioning costs — brakes, tires, bumper repair, etc. That made zero sense. I was already told I was approved at $0 down. As someone who has worked in the car business (sales, finance, service, and parts for 5 years), I understand how trade reconditioning works. Dealers account for that when they appraise a vehicle — they don’t pass that cost onto the customer after the fact and blame the bank. I asked to see the bank approval showing where $1,200 down was required. Aaron hesitated and asked why I needed to see it. After clicking around briefly, he flashed the screen for maybe two seconds — but I saw clearly that the $1,200 down was entered by him, not required by the bank. When I pointed that out, he immediately said he doesn’t “do business with people who don’t trust him,” stood up, and tried to shake my hand to end the deal. I declined and calmly said I don’t do business with people who lie. At that point, things escalated. He followed me outside, got in my face, clenched his fists, and made a comment along the lines of “You want to gym big guy? Let’s gym,” which I took as a physical threat. His own sales staff had to step in and de-escalate the situation. I drove over two hours round trip based on false information and was then pressured for money down that was never required by the bank. When I questioned it, I was met with hostility and intimidation. I’ve purchased vehicles from large dealerships before and wanted to support a small business this time. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst buying experiences I’ve ever had. Do your due diligence before doing business here.

After purchasing several vehicles over the years at Performance Cars and Trucks in Bentonville, AR...I thought this time would be equally the same. I went in and test drove a 2016 Dodge Journey, no lights were on, I asked if it had any issues and the man riding in on the test drive told me there was nothing wrong with it, it had been well taken care of. I was told it recently had a new battery installed, new brakes and all services taken care of. Within a week of leaving the lot, the check engine light came on. I spoke with Aaron, brought it in and he reset the light sending me on my way. The next day, not even 24 hours later, the light was back on. I took it to O'Reily's and had them run the scanner, there were 2 codes. Called and spoke with Aaron and he had me bring it back a second time. On top of him stating it just needed reset, he said that if it came back on he would schedule an appointment with Christian Brothers for me to have it looked at....also, back tire was low so he did air that up. Next day, big surprise light came back on...called multiple times, sent emails, NOTHING....I couldn't get a call back. Stopped by a couple of times and Aaron was not available...to this day almost a year later, I have replaced the battery that has went dead, I put new brakes on the front as they were rusted and one of the rotors were cracked, the thermostat does not work right, it barely has heat. I reached out again and I am pushed to the back burner....I am just a sale and nothing more to them. They got their money so they do not care. I will not go back there. They portray themselves as good Christian people who care....in reality I don't feel that is true. I am sadly disappointed in them.
