I just bought a pre-owned 2025 Kia Sportage at this location, and I couldn’t be more happy. My salesperson, Jason Ortiz, made the whole process enjoyable and completely stress-free. The entire team at Crain was wonderful. From the salesman, Kyle to the sales manager, Derek, the finance person, Jonathan, along with the delivery drivers, Terry and John were all top notch! Scammers. Highly recommend going elsewhere, especially if you live in Missouri. I bought a truck from them in February. I rolled the sales tax into my financing and asked more than once if the amount was correct because it seemed very high. They assured me the amount was correct because they use software that gets the amounts directly from Missouri’s government. They do it all the time, they said, and never have issues. It took 27 days to receive the check. In Missouri you have 30 days to pay sales tax before you incur a late penalty. I got into the DMV in time to find out their sales tax check was over by around $800. I called Crain and spoke to Kimberly who said I needed to go back to the DMV and get a printout of the actual sales tax cost, then mail that printout and the check back to them. They would send me a new check for that amount and send the $800 difference to the bank to pay down my loan principal. I did that and received the check for the new amount, and went back to the DMV for the third time to finally register the vehicle. To this day they have not sent any money to my lender, do not answer my calls, do not return my voicemails, and when I call main lines and do get someone on the phone, I either get transferred around to people who cannot help, or given numbers to call that do not get answered. As of right now they appear to have simply pocketed around $800 of money I financed through Wells Fargo. And it appears to have been a set-up through intentionally overestimating the Missouri sales tax, something I realize in hindsight they actually could have easily verified.
