I recently purchased an ‘83 C10 from Ryan, I picked the truck up and brought it back to dfw to where I live. After unloading it off the trailer and putting a few miles on it the engine began making an awful noise. I immediately let Ryan know what was going on and he said he would handle it in full in which he did. He hired someone to come all the way to dfw to pick the truck up and haul it back to his shop in Alabama. Upon getting the truck back in his possession and hearing the noise for himself he completely swapped out the bad engine with a fresh new rebuilt engine. I have since received the truck back in my possession and it runs and drives better than I can ever imagine. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done, Ryan. You truly are a wonderful man of deep integrity. People like you are extremely rare these days. Thank you so much!!!! I will be purchasing another vehicle from you again in the near future. Keep up the excellent work my guy.
Vehicle was as expected, we had a smooth transaction. He helped setup transportation. Always responded and willing to answer any questions. Would buy again.
Be aware you will pay Dealer taxes on this classic your buying. County will ask for out of state to make sure title us clear.. If not costs go back to dealer.. I would highly suggest viewing vehicles in person. Pictures can be deceiving. I do think I over paid and think after examining amount of work truck needs just to be a every day driver is upwards 20k. I would recommend doing your research and pay extra resto mod with low miles.
I purchased an expensive classic car that they had advertised (in the online Ad as well as emails to me) as having a particular/specific type of motor that they themselves bought/installed from a manufacture. After I purchased the car and it was delivered, they sent me paperwork for the motor. The paperwork did NOT substantiate the motor type they advertised, but rather showed a lesser/smaller motor. Since they bought/installed the motor from the manufacturer; I asked them to help me determine if the car did in fact have the motor they advertised or if it was indeed the smaller motor shown on the paperwork. They ignored every email I sent them about this and when I called, they told me they had been busy and hadn't made any efforts to help, but told me they would call the manufacturer right away and get back to me, but they never did. This went on for several weeks until I gave up trying to get any help from Oswalt Motors. Very Poor customer Support after the sale.
⭐☆☆☆☆ – Premium “Fully Restored” Vehicle Was Significantly Misrepresented I am the owner of Legacy Motors Auto Group in Danville, Pennsylvania, and we purchased a classic vehicle sight unseen from Ryan @ Oswalt Motors in Alabama, paying a premium price. This was one of the highest priced examples in the country for this year, make, and model, and the vehicle was advertised on their website and remains listed as “fully restored.” At this price point, accurate representation is expected. The vehicle delivered does not align with that description. Upon arrival and inspection: • The passenger-side rear quarter panel shows excessive body filler and pronounced waviness, requiring an estimated $2,000+ correction. • The white paint is visibly yellowed, particularly in areas of prior bodywork. This condition was present prior to transport and is well documented. • There are multiple dents, despite the vehicle being represented as having none. The shipping company’s pickup photos confirm these were pre-existing. • Mechanically, the vehicle experienced immediate failure of the water pump, required a starter replacement, and is now leaking oil and transmission fluid while parked. All findings were documented and presented professionally. Oswalt Motors stated they felt the vehicle was accurately represented. Based on the condition delivered versus how the vehicle was marketed, that position is difficult to reconcile. After funds were received and the vehicle shipped, phone communication ceased, with responses limited to text messages only. A partial reimbursement for the water pump was offered, but the primary concern remains the undisclosed bodywork, paint condition, and overall misrepresentation of a premium vehicle. I operate multiple businesses, including a dealership, and would not represent a vehicle in this manner. In the classic car market, transparency is critical especially for sight-unseen, high-dollar transactions. I strongly recommend independent inspections and verification for any buyer considering a purchase from Oswalt Motors. I personally will never make the mistake of purchasing a vehicle from Ryan and Oswalt motors. Truly a disappointment….
