Drivers Choice

My husband was looking for a reliable used car for me, he came across Driver's Choice website and decided to take me there to see the cars for myself. It was pouring down rain and I didn't want to get out of the car. My husband got out and was greeted by Kenny. My husband was looking around the lot and didn't see anything that he thought I would like. Then, he saw a blue Ford Escape in the garage. It was reasonably priced and exactly what I wanted. I was so pleased with my SUV and Kenny's excellent customer service, we referred a family member to Kenny, who purchased a car from him. My husband loved my car so much, that we also traded in his car and purchased a black Ford Escape that Kenny also had on his lot. Now, we're thinking about buying a car for our daughter. I would recommend Driver's Choice to everyone I know and make sure to ask for Kenny he will bend over backwards to make sure you're happy. Stephanie Trivett

I searched car gurus and google until I found a used car that matched the the specifications and $ amount that I wanted to pay. I viewed the dealerships website, Drivers Choice in Newport News Virginia. My husband and I met with Charlie Wood to arrange a test drive and discuss the trade in of my car. We were impressed with the relaxed, no pressure atmosphere. Everyone was extremely friendly and easy to work with. From start to finish, we were there for less than three hours. I traded in my car and drove home a new car. We feel like we received a quality used car at a fair price with no up charges. If you are in the market for a used car, I would highly recommend Drivers Choice. They are linked to Car-gurus and Google and provide great photos and descriptions. A great car buying experience!!! Mike was so kind and helpful!! Great customer service, eager to answer any questions, and made the process as smooth as possible. Was my first ever time purchasing a car and he helped it to not be as stressful as I thought it would be! Price felt very fair as well.

Recently purchased a truck from them. Took for test drive, seemed ok. The car broke down less than 24 hours after leaving the lot. Took it to a dealership and they said the engine needed to be replaced - cracked head - no compression in 2 cylinders. I suspect something was added to the engine to restore compression while they sold it. Interesting that most of the time doing paperwork was spent on the As-Is, arbitrator, etc. Would steer clear of this place.

I will be brief in my comment. I hope many find it useful. My friend bought a truck there. Everything was fine. But he had a problem that they didn't tell us about. The transmission was damaged. I came back later and told them and they didn't want to answer for the problem and that's really not fair. So if someone buys a car there I recommend that they take it for a diagnosis with a mechanic to avoid giving away his money.
