I initiated an offer online. After receipt of an offer that was acceptable to me, I completed the paperwork online and booked my appointment. Upon arrival at Henderson Carmax, I was asked to move my car to the service center, the paperwork took less than 30 minutes. I was presented with a check and my license plates and frames. Flawless transition. I would highly recommend Carmax!

I’m officially a CarMax fan for life! If I could give this team more than 5 stars, I would. My entire experience—from the high-energy sale to the incredible post-purchase service—has been top-tier. The Buying Experience: I came in looking for a specific Tesla Model Y that was still being processed as a trade-in. Despite the logistical hurdles, Mark worked tirelessly to make the car available for me to buy that same day. He then handed us off to Briana M., and the rest was history! A huge shoutout to the Business Operations Manager, Cherisse O., for her expertise in clearing the paperwork and title issues so I could drive home in the car I wanted. The Trade-In: CarMax made trading in my Jeep Laredo X incredibly easy. While Friendly Ford in Las Vegas tried to lowball me at $25,500, CarMax offered a fair $31,800. They are honest and easily the best to work with. The Service (The True Test): The real 5-star service happened after the sale. My 2025 Tesla Model Y had a minor error, and Vanessa Blaschick in the service department was a total rockstar. She walked me through the entire process, kept me updated constantly, and coordinated a transfer to Tesla to ensure it was repaired correctly and for free. I had my car back within 48 hours! High praises to the management team at this location for hiring such professional, dedicated people like Mark, Briana, Cherisse, and Vanessa. They’ve earned a customer for life!

For me, this is the only way to buy a car from a dealer. The sales guy was busy but very attentive to us. He was working with other clients but kept checking in on us and let us test drive a couple of vehicles by ourselves. The process was smooth and very no pressure. At one point, we almost walked away because of our budget even after spending a lot of time with the sales person. However, he was very patient and left it up to us. He didn't try to talk us into the sale and just gave us time to decide. The prices were in line or better than Edmonds estimates, and their fees were reasonable. Due to our own indecisiveness, we spent half the day there, but I've also purchased a vehicle from Carmax over my lunch break, so it is possible to to get in and out quickly. Once we purchased the car, they gassed up and washed it. The paperwork and processing part was fast and we didn't have to wait long for anything. This beats dealing with Findlay and the like where they pull the bait and switch and try to overcharge you from the start forcing the back-and-forth game of the sales person running back to the boss 30 minutes at a time to "see what they can do."

I have purchased three cars from Carmax, and sold one. I love the ability to shop their inventory online, order the car I want, get my financing, and just show up and grab the keys. Selling our car was even easier. With the first car we bought I kept it for a couple of weeks and decided that I wanted an upgraded model of the same car and brought it back without any hassle.

In January 2026, the vehicle was taken to Fairway Chevrolet for repair and diagnosed with a rear differential failure. Warranty coverage was initially denied based on alleged “contaminated fluid,” which I dispute. A Chevrolet technician indicated metal, not contamination. Additional major powertrain issues (transfer case, transmission, front wheel bearing) were then identified. Despite having the extended MAXCARE warranty, coverage has been denied, delayed, and inconsistently handled. The vehicle has now been held for over three months with minimal progress and poor communication. I was also asked to pay hundreds for a battery before work would continue. I am now being asked to pay additional thousands of dollars for repairs that should reasonably be covered under the warranty. This has been an ongoing and unresolved situation involving CarMax, MaxCare, and their warranty administrator. Buyers should be aware of potential issues with warranty coverage and claims handling.
