I bought a 1976 Lincoln Continental Town Coupe about three years ago. It has been a fantastic car, but that is not really the point. Every car, whether 4 years old or 40 will break down. I have probably put $1500 into repairs in the last 3 years, most of which was to overhaul the vacuum system and give it a thorough tune up. The point is they were honest and easy to work with. I paid with an out of state check and they were fine with that. I took the car home and they mailed me the title a few days later. I am considering buying another vehicle from them, and I haven't seen the older gentleman that I worked with on the Lincoln. The younger gentlemen they have working at the shop seem to be inexperienced and therefore capable of making mistakes. Some reviews say that they have been lied to. I have seen no evidence of that, but I would recommend that if you have any question whatsoever in your mind, get it checked by a mechanic of your choice before the sale is finalized Put a clause in the sales contract to protect you if your mechanic finds an unknown issue, or write in a certain warrenty or other recourse if an engine, transmission, or other expensive repair comes due very quickly after purchase.

I've purchased two very good used vehicles from this dealer. They have always been up front with me about the cars I purchased, and I keep in mind the cars on this lot are used cars. As with any car we will have to do a little maintenance, fortunately with the two cars I purchased .... The maintenance has been minimal. I recommend Gils Auto Sales to my friends and anyone who ask or says: "That's a nice car! ..... where did you get your car?" Remember, it's up to the purchaser to thoroughly check a car or before purchase, my experience with This dealer has been positive. I will purchase again from here, as I Love to support small businesses.

I saw a Town & Country, an Equinox & an Avalanche on Google last night that interested me. Then today, after work I stopped at the dealer's to look at the cars to possibly buy 1 of them before they'd close. I decided not to buy either 1 of them (cars are too big in size) although they looked Awesome for the Prices. * As I was heading out of the dealership I saw a Volkswagen Jetta on the lot that interested me. I checked it out, test drove it & bought it right on the spot. The 2 sales men were awesome! They gave me all the information I asked them & I needed to know about the Jetta before I bought it. Great job guys! Omaha & Council Bluffs needs more Nice, Reliable & Honest Car Dealers like both of you! I'm a Very Satisfied Customer!

I bought a set of tires from him that were listed on marketplace as "like new." When I took him to my car shop half an hour later to get them installed, they showed me on the tire a little tiny place where it says the year, and they were from 2011 and too old to be installed by any tire shop. When I told him I wanted a refund, he wouldn't give me one. They have tiny cracks in between the tread and the tire guy said the tires will blow if you drive on them. I only give him two stars instead of one because maybe I should have known better and known what to look for in a used tire, but I think he should have taken them back. And I think he knew they were bad and dangerous. Now I'm stuck with them and would never pawn them off on someone else.

I was extremely disappointed in the lack of communication, response and professionalism of this dealership. I wish I would have read the Better Business Bureau complaints prior to looking at their cars. It makes more sense now that they don't have an answering machine and only return numbers that they wish to. We were looking at a vehicle to buy. We spoke to the manager on several occasions. He promised to get a taillight fixed and hubcaps on the vehicle we were looking at and was suppose to call so that we could purchase it. Almost a week later he hadn't called and we were wanting to purchase the vehicle. When I called again, Darren promised that he would take care of those items the next morning and we could pick up the vehicle by noon the next day. I offered to put a $500 deposit down to hold the vehicle but he said that wasn't necessary and nobody was looking at the vehicle. The same afternoon, a salesman from Gil's called and said that someone put $100 down on the vehicle and we wouldn't be able to purchase it. I was furious! I went to the dealership as we had planned, but Darren wasn't even there and would not return my calls. Do not trust their word. The other salesman's story changed every time I spoke with him. This was so disappointing and a waste of my time. I certainly learned my lesson. However, after reading other complaints and reviews about Gil's, I realize I am fortunate that we didn't put money down on the vehicle. We would probably be trying to negotiate to get it back like their other customers.
