Up North Auto

This is a great place to get a cheap car. If you're mechanically inclined you can get a great cheap car that needs minor work. We have bought two cars from Sam. Last year I bought a 06 Hyundai Accent for my MIL for $2,500. It needed work, but we KNEW it needed work and what work it needed. We put about $500 in parts in it, did all the regular maintenance and it's been as reliable as can be. This spring I bought an 06 Honda Odyssey, it had a problem with a leaky valve. Sam was awesome and helped get the problem resolved for very cheap. We changed all the fluids and belts put in a ball joint and then took that van across the country on a 6,000 mile road trip through mountains and beaches. Once my daughter starts driving I'm sure we'll buy another car from him. Any used vehicle you buy is going to have some issue with it. Always change all the fluids and inspect/replace belts on any used car you get. Do the regular maintenance things to keep your car going. Don't expect a perfect 10-20 year old car with no issues for $4,000. Sam has thus far seemed like a great guy who wants to help and doesn't seem like a scammy individual.

Purchased used vehicle for teen driver. Office staff was great to work with. We had a mechanical issue shortly after purchasing and the owner, honored the warranty and was very responsive and was great to work with. He took care of everything though it did take a bit to get the parts ordered. Will be going back again when looking for vehicle for next teen driver. It was great to work with someone who's word and handshake was everything to them.

Howdy. Was searching for awhile looking for a car that my sister can get to and from work. Also to visit her husband in a nursing home a couple towns away. found our Kia Soul online. sent a message, they responded right away and the appointment was made! Anyhow I had a great rapport with them and got our car home that same day. My sister came home and loves the car. All is good. We will definitely go back to Up North Auto again. Sam was an absolute gem to work with and got our family happily on our way with a vehicle that fit our needs and (honestly tight) budget. I absolutely trust that if we have any issues he will help us make it right and would not hesitate for a second to do business with him again or to recommend friends and family his way when looking for a used vehicle from a trustworthy business.

Iv only had our car 1 day, but as of right now I’m giving this place a 5 star for the hospitality, honesty, & friendliness. Sam was great to work with got us in a car at an affordable price & treated my kids so nice. He was not like most places (just trying to make money) get you in get you out. He reassured us in every way answered all of our questions & was awesome to work with. We are hoping the car last us longer then most we have bought & if it does this hands down will be the first place we go to get another! Thank you again for doing business.
