Saw the vehicle that I wanted on Facebook marketplace. Sent a message to Mike. He had it ready for me the next day. When I was prepared to negotiate the price, he came in with a lower price than I had anticipated. I was buying the car as a birthday surprise for my niece. He agreed to make some minor repairs (1 headlight) and hold the vehicle until the surprise party. One of the most stress free car buying experiences ever.

Westlake Auto Sales in a summary STAY AWAY FROM! The owner is a crook who is willing to stop at nothing to sell you a over priced lemon. He is very unprofessional and has been known in Westlake LA to make some very shady transactions. Do your research before dealing with this dealership. Ask around about the owner and you will find out that EVERYONE in Westlake has a Negative opinion of him.

If I could give NEGATIVE STARS, I would. I was interested in a couple of vehicles for me and my family. I spoke to a Michael Basco via Facebook Messenger and his customer service was horrible. I started by asking if the vehicle was available and his responses to my questions were just one worded responses. Normally, car salesman are more informative about their products and are more cooperative when customer in inquisitive about what’s on their lot. I asked if I could set up a time/date to view the car. This unfriendly salesman told me that I would need to get in touch with their finance department before being able to pursue further interest in the car because he didn’t want his time wasted. He further explained why, which was understandable. But it was his approach and the wording. Things can be taken out of context. But he really needs to do a better job in conducting professionalism. No wonder why this business has bad ratings.

Went to look for a car with my father a disabled veteran. Experience was shady from the beginning but we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Almost sold us on vehicle until we allowed our mechanic to take a look. Compressor leaks, engine cover missing, water damage to firewall, and electrical errors. Tried to explain to them what we were told and were immediately shut down and basically told to leave. We would have been willing to look at other vehicles but his actions showed we were no longer welcome. Immediately got defensive instead of working with the customer and dismissed us. We will not be going back or will be recommending this place.

We got 2 vehicles from him and was told they were great deals and that he would sale it for his mom cause he had that much trust in them. Well 1 of the vehicles had flawed tires that didn’t show until we got it and the ac didn’t work the headliner fell out and now is tacked in and it had a horrific smell in it after they sprayed something to make it smell good after we got it...it HAD to have been flooded before cause of the rotted water smell...the 2nd vehicle 3 of the windows didn’t roll down there was an exhaust leak that was found when we put a new inspection sticker on it...also winter time came and we wondered y the heat didn’t work and took it to a shop and the heat was capped off and so my son couldn’t use his heat thru the winter months...also it had mismatching mirrors and scratches down it...the headliner was also falling out in this vehicle a mismatched door panel the glove box was screwed together so it wouldn’t keep falling open...we started out making the payments on these vehicles but we stopped paying for 2 vehicles that are falling apart because we can save that money to buy something else...o and remind y’all we sent in a payment and wrote on the payment to apply to a certain vehicle but instead he split the payment between the 2 vehicles regardless...so every payment my son made never caught his truck up cause it was placed on the other vehicle too...so I’m with the other people...I would stay away from this car lot...oooooooh let me not leave out that when we put contacts on our paperwork on who to call to contact us... he contacted other family that wasn’t on the paperwork and not only did he tell them ALL OUR BUSINESS he tried to talk my mother in law to make the payments or either pay off the vehicles...if we wanted that we would’ve asked her...so yes he will tell ur business to ur friends family and job!!!! Run from this car lot and take time to shop at better dealerships!!!
