First Auto and its employee, Ricky, have thus far displayed a lack of knowledge in conducting business in a positive manner. Ricky and his management at First Auto sold a vehicle under false assurances. When confronted about numerous car issues, the First Auto team, instead of remaining steadfast on their promises at the time of purchase, placed the blame and burden on the purchaser. The recent purchase of a vehicle from First Auto has been an adversity from the time the car left the sales lot. One day after purchasing the vehicle, rattling noises began to emit, which, according to Ricky, was covered under warranty. We did not believe car repairs would be an issue, as Ricky noted at the time of purchase, a mechanic who customarily works for the company covers warranty work – the warranty work afforded to the purchased car. Upon calling Ricky to report the car issues, no responses were provided. Numerous attempts were made to contact Ricky; however, for weeks, he did not return any calls. The mechanic, when we finally spoke with him, provided news inconsistent with what Ricky stated at the time of the car sale. Upon Ricky’s return of the call weeks later, an appointment was made with the mechanic. The mechanic advised that the timing chain and cam phaser were experiencing issues, and that the rough idle condition was affecting both drivability and fuel efficiency. In essence, the car was unsafe to operate. Ricky and First Auto are not taking accountability for the defects in the vehicle sold from their lot. The team has ignored and not returned calls regarding this issue, and rather than attempt to rectify the situation through repairs or reimbursement, they wish to act as if they have done nothing wrong. First Auto’s wrongful acts should not be taken lightly. Over the last few months, work has been missed due to the lack of a properly functioning vehicle, in addition to expenses quoted by the mechanic that should be covered through the promised warranty. I now understand that First Auto is not an accredited company with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). To become accredited, a business must agree to BBB Standards for Trust and pass BBB's vetting process. As you can see from the above unfortunate incident, the company should never be afforded this accreditation.
