Our sales person, Tanika Simmons was excellent. She was very attentive to our needs and questions, and she also provided great customer service. I would recommend her to anyone who’s looking for a new vehicle. So, if you are in the market for a new vehicle, go down to ALM CDJR and ask for Tanika Simmons.
I was traveling from Florida to Michigan when I had a wheel bearing fail on Sunday. I went to the dealership Monday morning at 7:30 am when the service department opened. That is when I met Brittany, she immediately understood my dilemma and engaged with her manager Steven. They immediately came up with a plan to get me back on the road. My vehicle went in immediately. I cannot express enough gratitude to these fine folks and all who were involved with getting me back home. A lot of dealerships could learn a lot from these folks. My sincere appreciation for what you did for me. THANK YOU!!!!!
I wanted to go 5-stars for my sales rep they were awesome, except for information on the extended warranty the dealership sways you to buy, so my rep gets a 4 ! They did answer all other questions and still follows up after the sale. Feels this (TWS warranty) is a dealership way to make sure you buy this type warranty. You can’t find information on it until you get to finance office, you don’t even hear of TWS until you're in the signing room. I spent about :30 minutes just trying to learn it with the finance rep. My only complaint, everything else was good.
To start off with I had an awesome experience with my salesman, but that’s the only positive experience I had been looking at several dealerships to trade in my truck on a used Gladiator I found. I sent an inquiry message to 3 different dealerships and set an appointment at a rival dealership and then I received a call from one of the managers at this dealership and while talking to him I told him I’d have to make a later appointment as I had one at a different dealership that day for my only day off. He told me “you don’t have to worry about going anywhere else, we have the best deals in the COUNTRY and won’t anybody give you a better deal than us, we’ll make sure your treated right, give you the absolute best deal on your trade in and nobody will compete with the prices of our vehicles.” Then we proceeded going over the trade in details on the truck I had, year, make, model, payoff amount (keep reading because payoff amount is foreshadowing.) So I cancelled my appointment at the other dealership and came here. It was a 2 hour drive from my house down to the dealership, got there and met our salesman and had good conversations with him, test drove the truck I wanted and everything in that area went great but this is where everything goes downhill. After sitting in their office for almost 2 hours without running any credit or anything else one of the managers came over and told me “there’s absolutely nothing I can do with all of the negative equity your truck has” and I was confused, I owed 35k on my truck and trade in value was valued between 33-34k. I have done a lot of car and vehicle swapping both personally and with dealership and I asked him what he meant by so much negative equity, I’ve never had a problem if something only had about 1-2k in negative equity. He told me there’s no way that the used truck I wanted would carry 6-7k in negative equity and I was kind of dumbfounded and I asked how there’s that much and he said well sir that 5k in negative equity from your trade in and the truck your wanting only being worth 21k (listed for 29k might I add) it’s just too much to carry. I said ok well that doesn’t sound like the best deals in the country if your asking 8k over there vehicles worth, and told him exactly what he had told me over the phone and explained that I only came down there to look at THAT vehicle and drove 2 hours to get there because he said it wouldn’t be a problem and told me “there’s nothing I can do.” There wasn’t any willing to move any numbers around, coming down on a price that was way too high and no giving me what my truck was worth. If you use this dealership for anything Id say use the service department, not the sales department. I haven’t used the service department there but no way it could be worse or more of a waste of time than the sales department is.
Called about a dodge hornet RT at this site. Gave them an offer and told them I would be down there over the weekend to pick up the car if the offer was accepted. Never got a call back. Called a few times to ask for salesperson that i talked to about the vehicle and still nothing. I see the car is still there. I feel like they think I was not a serious buyer because I live in a different state 5 hours away. But, the car I wanted at a very decent price they had and seriously wanted it. So all ALM dealerships lost my business because not just this ALM but the one in Florence as well since they told they had the dodge hornet on their lot and turned around after I went there to see it and was going to buy it that day to tell me the car was at the ALM macon lot. Sorry.
