Carmax was the best place to buy our Truck. They made the whole process very easy and effortless. We plan to buy again from Carmax in the future. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to buy a vehicle. No hassle, price is as listed, and no extra "fees".

All things considered, cracked windshield replaced, and about 10 days to transport and prep the car, the entire experience was very professional. I sold a car to CarMax and purchased another, all a pleasant experience! I’ll probably use CarMax for my next purchase. Being able to see over 100 models in one location while making a decision was extremely helpful and saved countless hours searching for a car.

The overall online experience is very convenient and resourceful. Tara was my online representative and she is amazing, polite and informative. Morgan was very helpful and has wonderful customer service once I arrived to the lot to complete my pape work. I give it a 9 out of 10 but update are coming soon.

I give this experience a 2 star review. Simply because whenever I tried to call the dealership directly, I was transferred to the call center. The call center ended up selling the car to me. It was a huge pain in the rearend though since I was constantly communicating with the corporate office rather than dealing with the dealership directly. I drove from Long Island, NY all the way down to their dealership in Savannah, GA. They sold us the car without ever once disclosing windshield damage to the vehicle. We still picked up the car anyway after being assured by once again, the call center that CarMax would do the right thing and pay for a new windshield to be replaced once I got home to Long Island. The Smithtown, NY dealership called me to schedule the windshield replacement which they informed me would be completed by SafeLite but that I would not be billed for it. A family emergency occured when I was supposed to bring the car in for the windshield to be replaced, and I asked for the call center to help reschedule the appointment, which they told me I would have to call their service department to set that up myself because they were unable to do it for me, even though they had no problem doing it the first time around. The service department was impossible to reach at Smithtown, so I again asked the call center to have them reach out to me. Again, was told they couldn’t do it. Amazingly, after I called them out on their BS, they were able to send an email out to have the service team reach out to me. Problem was, no one ever reached out. I was promised that they would reach out to their service managers if I got no response, and I am still waiting to reschedule the appointment. Other than the damaged windshield, the car appears to be a great vehicle. I bought this car as a birthday gift to my wife. It is a 2022 Ford Edge Titanium. She loves the car overall. But I think this is my last time purchasing a car with CarMax. My recommendation is to go with a local dealer instead. I attached photos of the car we bought, the damaged windshield, and a screenshot of a text message with the call center. I hope CarMax sees this review and does the right thing to help get the windshield repaired without me having to pay for it out of my own pocket.

DO NOT BUY HERE. Broken Cars, Caused More Damage, and Hostile Staff. If I could give zero stars, I would. My family has been loyal CarMax customers for 20 years, but this experience has been an absolute nightmare of incompetence, false advertising, and hostile customer service. We purchased a 2015 VW Golf from the Jacksonville, FL location. Right off the lot, the car was missing the premium Fender audio and backup camera explicitly advertised on the window sticker and website. We proceeded in good faith anyway. That was a massive mistake. Within days, the sunroof was actively leaking water into the cabin, and the dashboard lit up with a cascade of warning lights. We brought it to the Savannah, GA location for service. They held the vehicle hostage for 12 days with absolutely zero proactive communication. Yesterday, they finally returned the car with an explicit, verbal guarantee that all issues were resolved. That was a lie. Within an hour of parking it in our driveway, the entire fabric headliner collapsed and fell into the cabin. Their contracted third-party cleaners aggressively scrubbed the ceiling to hide the water stains, completely destroying the adhesive. Shortly after, it started raining, and we discovered the original sunroof leak is STILL actively leaking. They held the car for almost two weeks, failed the primary repair, and caused extensive new interior damage. When I called the Savannah service department to report this, they put me on hold for 10 minutes and then hung up on me. When I called back and requested the General Manager’s email address, the staff explicitly refused to provide it—on two separate occasions. Meanwhile, Corporate Customer Relations has completely ignored my emails. We purchased this car for our child. Now we are fighting the clock on a return window with a company that breaks their own cars and then actively hides from the customer. If you have a problem after you buy, do not expect CarMax to pick up the phone. Buyers absolutely beware.
