Vroom Vroom Used Auto Sales

After reading the negative reviews I wasn't sure about vroom, but they offered me the best deal on my trade-in so I thought I'd give it a shot. Purchasing a car is less enjoyable for the neurotic and/or impatient, and although vroom is a new way to do it - unfortunately such people will still struggle with it. If you are particularly impatient, save yourself the anxiety and go somewhere else. Even though the process took about 3 weeks for me, it went smoothly and I have no complaints. Vroom offered me more for my trade in than carmax or carvana, and much more than any traditional dealership would. They are also very competitive on the purchase price, and the delivery fee is less than most dealer fees. There are a few advantages to stretching out the process. Firstly, it is much more difficult to make an impulse purchase when it takes weeks to see it through. Second, I had the time to get a loan quote from my credit union which was significantly less than the capital one rate from Vroom (1.38% vs. 4.25%), and Vroom actually matched it! Lastly, I was able to keep tabs on similar vehicles for sale and could have gotten out of the vroom deal if something even better had popped up (which didn't happen). I recommend using a wire transfer instead of a cashier's check for the deposit, as I've heard about issues with the latter. Everything went smoothly for us, and 11 days after we fedexed the signed documents back to vroom our car was delivered. The delivery driver was top notch, and told us that vroom has been expanding their fleet of trucks so they no longer have to deal with contractors to transport/deliver. In the end, we got the exact car we wanted, at about 8% less than any dealer within 500 miles was pricing it, with the lowest rate possible on the note, and more for our trade-in than I was originally going to try and sell it for. The only downside was the waiting, it was like the two weeks before Christmas as a kid, but I'd rather have that than the regret of having made an impulse purchase. All things considered I would happily do it again, and so long as you can handle the wait I highly recommend giving vroom a try.

I purchased a 2022 Kia Saltos. The contract was signed on January 6th. My delivery date was January 20th. I called on January 18th and was reassured by Pedro Alma’s and another customer service rep that I was going to get the car on January 20th. I was also told that I would receive a email confirmation within 24 to 48 hours confirming delivery. The email never came. My husband and I both called on January 20th only to be told that we would not receive the car because there was a delay. They had no drivers. I received a call from a guy from Vroom at Last mile hub and was told that I would receive the car on Monday 1/23/23 between 12-2. Today 1/23/23 I received a call from them and was told there was another delay. They had to put a new battery in the car. I am very frustrated over the whole process and the run around. This was the biggest mistake we have made in purchasing a vehicle online.

I purchased a vehicle and was told that since I was paying cash and it was in the same state (2 hours away supposedly) I should get it in less than the "usual 5-7 day" time frame. They took my money on day one then 6 days later I called since the website kept showing "we are checking your car over". I was told they don't expect to have the car for another week or more then they will set up transfer and delivery. That tells me they are selling a car they do not have yet. It was not listed as such. When I told them (today) a Saturday that I want to cancel the transaction I was told they will let me know by Thursday what the process is! I was so excited on how easy the buying process was but it has turned into a nightmare!

Wish I could give 0 stars. The ABSOLUTE WORST CAR EXPERIENCE EVER !!!!!! Please DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, all of the bad reviews are true about VROOM they take your money and you never hear from anyone else. I have called over 20 times within a month. I Was in the process of purchasing a vehicle since Thanksgiving and I was told by several agents that I would have a delivery date in 24-48 business hours which was a LIE they continued to send me emails of documents that needs to be signed or proof of document and still NO DELIVERY DATE. I spoke with my original at HUNTER RICHARDSON no more than 3 times. NO ONE from VROOM was an assistance. Please buy from CARVANA OR A SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Bought my car in August. It’s January and still no tags or registration!!! I have called MULTIPLE times and hardly ever get a person to answer the phone. Phone calls go to somewhere overseas and these people know nothing! I cannot get ANY satisfaction and this company could care less about customer service after the sale! My battery went dead 4 months into the purchase and it appears there has been extensive body repairs to this car which DID NOT SHOW UPON CARFAX!!!They stay in contact with you through the sales purchase but once that over they hang you out to dry! Without a doubt the WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD!!! Buy from CARVANA OR CARMAX! RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
