I purchased my vehicle on February 13th from Arnold after saving and planning carefully, as I was spending $400–$500 a month on Ubers and Lyfts. The buying process itself was smooth, and I initially felt very happy with my decision. However, about two weeks after the purchase, the car began backfiring, and smoke started coming from the exhaust. The check engine light also came on. I decided to get an inspection, which revealed that the vehicle needed a tune-up, including spark plug replacement. I contacted the dealership and was told I would receive a call back, but I never did. Since I needed the car, I took it to a nearby service center and paid $400 out of pocket for repairs. During that visit, I was also informed that the vehicle had little to no oil in it, which was extremely concerning. On April 24th, while driving home from dinner, the car completely shut down. I had to have it towed to my home. I reached out to the dealership again to explain the situation, but the response I received showed little concern. I was told once again that I would get a call back, and once again, I did not. At this point, the vehicle will not start at all. The lights come on, but the engine will not turn over. I feel extremely frustrated and taken advantage of. I trusted this dealership to sell me a reliable vehicle, and instead, I’ve been left with ongoing issues and unexpected expenses. I am now considering seeking legal assistance to recover my losses. P.S for some odd reason it will not let me post pics but I will make another review with all of this as well.
