185 Welton St, Hamden, CT 06517What do customers say about Central Auto Auction?
Great service with a transparent buying experience. Wide selection of cars with a fair bidding set up. Effortless check out and paperwork.
It's good. There aren't that many cars that run, and I don't know if we're just unlucky here, but I can't find too many good cars. It's definitely more like Copart in the sense that they have more parts cars than clean trade ins. Do come for a quick and convenient registration often though, for a reasonable price.
Connecticut just doesn't have enough cars for public auction in fact I've brought vehicles from fleet gov in Florida and they had well over 100 vehicles for auction.
From my experience, the vehicle’s diagnostic codes appeared to have been cleared before the sale to hide existing transmission problems. After driving the car, the fault codes returned, and I was informed that the transmission needs to be completely replaced. Be extremely careful and have any vehicle independently inspected and scanned before buying.
They’re scammers!!!! I Bought them 3 vehicle in the last 2 weeks and guess what , all broken with serious problems, they really need to renovate their team because whoever is in charge of the action is only allowing trash (sorry for that word) but seriously don’t spend your money in this place, go to other place.. I lost 10k in those vehicles :/ One more time don’t go there.
