I purchased a Mazda CX-5 from Golden Line Auto in March 2025. Shortly after purchase, the front lower bumper detached while I was driving on the highway. It later detached a second time, causing damage and leading to a repair estimate of roughly $1,600 from a Mazda body shop. To Golden Line Auto’s credit, they were willing to work with me on the issue. In May 2026, they helped get the bumper repaired through one of their body shop partners and saved me approximately $1,000 compared to the original estimate. While we disagreed on what caused the bumper issue, I appreciated their willingness to help. UPDATE (JUNE 2026) Unfortunately, about a week after getting my vehicle back, I began hearing a strange noise while driving. The noise got progressively worse, and eventually my steering wheel began shaking. Concerned about safety, I had a mobile mechanic inspect the vehicle. The mechanic found that the lug nuts on my front driver’s side wheel were not properly tightened. This immediately explained both the noise and the shaking. Considering work had recently been performed in that area, including replacement of the wheel-well liner, I found this extremely concerning. I drive on the highway regularly, and improperly tightened lug nuts are not a minor inconvenience. This was a serious safety issue that could have had much worse consequences. When I called Golden Line Auto, a younger employee was professional, apologetic, and willing to listen. However, my conversation with the owner was extremely disappointing. Rather than acknowledging the seriousness of the situation, he immediately denied responsibility and insisted there was no way his team or body shop could have caused it. There was never an apology for the inconvenience or potential safety risk. What makes this even more frustrating is that this is not an isolated issue. The bumper detached twice while I owned the vehicle. I was also told a minor trim issue in the trunk would be fixed during the bumper repair, and I have that commitment in writing, but it was never completed. At this point, I see a pattern of incomplete work, loose components, and a lack of accountability when concerns are raised afterward. Mistakes happen, but how a business responds to those mistakes matters. I also understand Golden Line Auto may disagree with this review. In fact, the owner previously told me my review was “crap” and wasn’t true. However, everything I have written is based on my actual experience. The bumper detached twice. The lug nuts were found to be improperly tightened. The promised trim repair was never completed. If they believe any part of this review is inaccurate, they know how to reach me. My goal is not to attack anyone personally. I am simply sharing my experience so potential buyers can make an informed decision. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage buyers to thoroughly inspect any repairs that have been performed and carefully consider the level of workmanship and accountability they may receive after the sale.
