Our experience with Auto Choice was extremely disappointing. Before purchasing the vehicle, we noticed a diagnostic code ourselves and brought it to the salesperson’s attention. We were told it was simply a “ghost code” and nothing to be concerned about. The check engine light was not on at the dealership, so we relied on their explanation when deciding to proceed with the purchase. However, only a few miles after leaving the lot, the check engine light came on. After having the vehicle independently inspected, we learned the issue was related to the catalytic converter, with repair costs estimated in the thousands of dollars. It is one of many problems with the car. We feel the seriousness of the issue was significantly downplayed at the time of sale, and the situation could have been handled with much greater transparency. We strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing from Auto Choice to have the vehicle thoroughly inspected by an independent mechanic before buying.
